Regular price $230 750ml Sale

Brut Nature. 45% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay, 15% Meunier - Premier Cru fruit from Chamery, all coming from 3 lieu-dits that face south-east: Les Vigneules, Les Spectres and Les Caquerets. The soils are of calcareous clay studded with limestone pebbles. The subsoils are of sand with a high percentage of tiny fossils. Organic fruit - not certified, but in the fourth and final year of conversion. Direct press, and then aged in 6 year old barrels (228L and 400L) for 11 months. Malo completed. Without fining or filtering, the wine was then bottled, and aged on lees for four years before disgorgement. Zero dosage, and no sulfites added at any stage. Only 1,000 bottles produced. 12% alc.

Brimming with energy, the 2016 showcases a fresh and elegant Champagne, full of life and substance. Lightish colour with delicate, tiny bubbles. It has a captivating and elegant nose of seaside breeze, florals, almonds, and lemon zest. With some air, you will find white strawberries and hints of stone fruit. On the palate there are little berries, apples, pears, citrus and a clear line of salinity. As it unfurls in the glass, layers upon layers reveal themselves. Intricate and subtle, this is a mesmerising Champagne that is effortless to drink - gentle and relaxing, one to take your time with. Perfect for drinking now, or to cellar if you so desire.
