2019 VDF 'Ni Rouge Ni Blanc'

This is a beautiful red and white blend, that you serve cold like a white. It walks the line between fun juice and something more detailed. Pure pleasure! The colour is reminiscent of boysenberry juice. Smells like that too – boysenberries and blueberries. Very clean. A little bracken, savoury edge with a fruit lift at the sides. Perfume opens up quite quickly. Good mid palate weight, and the fruit is bright. Good schisty tension and tannin. Lifted blueberry and boysenberry flavours. Very juicy, nice acidity. Has lots of tension. Flavours linger too. The fine tannic grip is quite sticky on the gums, adding another layer of complexity. Great acidity. Serve chilled like a white.
