2019 AOP Côte de Beaune blanc 'Les Mosnières'

Regular price $80 750ml Sale

From their vineyard at the top of Beaune, in organic conversion since they bought it in 2017. Clay-limestone terroir (very high limestone content) facing south, at an altitude of 350M. Aged for one year in old barrels without racking or stirring. The fermentation was slow and ended in Spring. 20mg/L SO2 added before bottling.

Same colour as the Chablis, not as deep and yellow as the Bourgogne Blanc. Bright. Smells lean, with clean breeze and limestone influence. Notes of creaming soda, ozone, macadamias, butter and minerals. Not rich, all very restrained. Very impressive at this young age. Lemon, lime and apple. Almost like Chablis. Not rich, this has lighter flavours. Creamy, with nectarine, white peach and lemon drops. Very juicy. Fruits become more prominent as the wine breathes. Gentle texture. As it warms it becomes more mineral on the nose. Long and extremely flavourful. This is so good. Love the lighter lifted flavours and overall freshness. Yum.
