2017 VDF 'Coup de Boule'

La Grange aux Belles

Regular price $50 750ml Sale

A beautiful rosé pét-nat made from Gamay – direct press, ferment kicked off in tank, then transferred to bottle to finish. Aged on lees for 7 months, then disgorged in Spring.

Great aromas. Loire for sure. Schist and raspberries, plus sweet cherries, delicate herbs and red apple skin. In the mouth it is super dry, with nice mouthfeel and lots of freshness. In the beginning the palate feels tight, but it opens up once in the glass. It also seems quite mineral and tonic-like, but then the sweet fruit comes through as time passes. And not sugary sweet, just like delicious sweet berries. Acidity is low-medium, so makes for very easy drinking. It finishes with good length and ample tension. The bubbles are strong too. Super tasty with délice de Bourgogne, charcuterie, or even just as an apéritif. Dry, crisp, fresh - this is a quality sparkling at a great price, and is essential delicious drinking!
