Chardonnay with grapes taken from multiple plots. The soils from these plots are a mix of gravel on marl, calcareous-rich marl, and blue marl. Aged on lees in old barrels for 30 months, and topped up weekly. Not fined or filtered. 20mg/L SO2 before bottling.
Fresh aromas of white florals, with hints of nuts and a little saline note. To taste it is bright and textural, with lovely fruit. White florals, apples, peaches and lemons. Very clear and light in the mouth, with lingering flavours and medium acidity. Very easy to drink, with lovely slippery texture. Hints of honey, nuts and spice on the back palate. Well balanced and a joy to drink.
