The colour! Hold it up to the light, what a beauty! Strawberry and raspberry fruit, quite floral and expressive. The fruit is so bright and lively, this is an absolute pleasure to smell. In the background there is an ever so slight dark mineral vein running through it. Red cherry with bright strawberry lift. Delicate baking spice – the more you smell, the more you get out of it. Love it. Little hints of Campari. Ozone on the background. Lots of red roses, highly perfumed. Ok, let’s taste… Silky and weightless. This is very smooth and appealing, and offers up flavours of wild strawberries, raspberries and cherries. The granite sits comfortably on the back palate, adding interest. It is very fresh at the front, and finishes with mildly tart acidity, reminiscent of red currants and cranberries. The acidity is gently salty too, and makes you come back for more. This is such a great wine - it's light and detailed, and very well made. You can drink this on it's own or with a meal - super versatile. Serve slightly chilled, but not too cold.
