2015 VDF '10 1/2 Semaines'
Grolleau from 30 year old organic vines in Faye d'Anjou. Fermented in tank. The name comes from the fact that they didn’t touch a thing for 10 and a half weeks, until décuvage. The wine was bottled in October 2016.
Deep nose, earthy, black forest. Purple love juice. High acidity, light and fresh with background punch. Very grippy schisty tannins. Black cherries, boysenberries, no sweetness which I like. Man, tannins on this are awesome. A complex smasher with heaps of interest.
