100% Certified organic Cabernet Franc from the best parcel of the domaine. Grapes de-stemmed by hand, then fermentation takes place in concrete tanks. Transferred to fiberglass and aged for one year. Bottled with a tiny amount of SO2.
What a beautiful expression of Cabernet Franc! Darker berries, muskiness, spice, cocoa and florals. Quite a silky texture, with black and red fruits, and cocoa dust amongst other things. Nice tension from the schist, and harmonious acidity. Packed with goodness, but light on it's feet - nice and long, with a well-rounded finish. No green-ness either, it's very well made. A very olds-school style Cabernet Franc that is very typical of Anjou. For more serious palates.
