New vines they purchased (tiny amount). 50 year old vines on clay and limestone, with blue marl underneath. South-West facing. Only 423 bottles produced, and only 36 came to Australia!
Super complex nose – my god that is good! I don’t know where to start, there is just so much in the glass! Dark cherries, deep earth, all sorts of spice, baking spice that is, cocoa dust, some cola in the background, wow! The texture is full for a red, dreamy and elegant. Going back to the aromas like damn! So easy to drink. Very nice acidity, fine tannins, harmony city, kind of deep and mystical. Blackberries, cherries, bramble. Notes of dark red apple. A serious wine, that is lifted rather than smothered in oak. Just watching this evolve over the evening is extremely enjoyable. So good!
