From AMI’s vineyard in Chassey-le-Camp (in conversion). Whole bunch maceration for 10-15 days, pressed and then one year in old barrels.
Very bright and lifted nose. Red fruts, red berries, cherries, crunchy apple and baking spice. Very supple texture, but it’s like it’s wrapped up in a nice bubble of fine tannin which gives it a bit of tension. Violets on the nose, perfume is extremely pretty. Delicious and more-ish to drink, all red cherries and raspberry fruit. Definitely burgundy, and this is why I love it – and AMI! The acidity is medium plus, and adds a nice smooth line and slight tartness to the finish. The texture is quite fine. Long and balanced and sensational. I'm not kidding, this will blow you away for an entry level burgundy!
