2018 VDF 'Folles Bulles'
Chenin blanc pét-nat. Slow gentle pressing. The wine was bottled prior to fermentation ending, and then rested on the lees for 10 months prior to disgorgement. Zero SO2 at any stage.
This is absolutely pristine. Super clean, with no funkiness. A very salty and sea breeze nose, with lemon blossoms and crunchy green apple skins. Super fine bubbles, that are persistent and lively. Beautiful mouthfeel, it is crisp and refreshing with high acidity. Gently saline, with sweet fruit, and lots of tension. The limestone is evident. Outstanding balance and perfect weight. Honey drops sealed with apple acidity. Lingers. Mouthwatering. Probably the best QPR pét-nat I have ever come across.
