Chardonnay from two vineyards. 50% purchased from an organic grower in Corpeau (downstream from Puligny-Montrachet). Here the soils are made up of clay and sand. And 50% from their own vineyards in the Chassey-le-Camp valley (next to Santenay). This vineyard has been in organic conversion since they purchased it in 2017. Also made up of sandy clay soils. Aged in old burgundy barrels for one year, without lees stirring. The fermentation was quite slow and didn't finish until Spring, giving the wine more complexity. Less than 30mg/L SO2 before bottling.

Beautiful yellow colour, luminous. Subdued nose, with notes of nuts, brioche, butter and minerals – all very restrained. Burgundy barrels in a very light aspect and not reductive. Yum. Powerful, yet bursting with acidity. Deeper flavours, showcasing typical white Burgundy notes, with loads of charm and a new age freshness. Apples and lemons, nice tension and minerality. Nectarines and honey drops. Lime juice and limestone footprint. Sweet fruit, but precision and drive. Very long and juicy, the drive is perfect as is the balance. Really good quality for entry level, one of the best yet. Notes of nuts on the finish. The texture is medium, and then the acidity drives through it and carries the wine so well. Really, really good. So much flavour.
