Jacquère from Bugey, in the commune of Leyzieu. The plot is called Aux Cries, and is made up of clay-limestone. The grapes are crushed then pressed in a vertical ratchet press, followed by 9 months of ageing in fiberglass vats. Zero SO2. JAJA for the expression to drink a shot of JAJA (drink a glass of wine in Beaujolais, no red wine for you, and JAJA also as slang for Jacquère).
Pale yellow colour, very transparent and clear. Luminous. Icy nose, flowing with a range of refined citrus notes. Lime over rocks and hints of elderflower. To taste it is very clean and precise. Gentle and lean in delivery. Super smooth and frosty. Very elegant and pure. Tastes of lime, crisp apples and elderflower over stones. Very pristine. 10.2% alc.
