A light red or deep rosé, made from 90% Syrah and 10% Tempranillo. Grown on clay and very old limestone soils. Short carbonic maceration, then aged for 6 months in old oak, 6 more months in amphora, then 6 more months in magnum before release. No filtration nor fining. Without added SO2.
Dark rose colour. A little reticent on opening, but really blossoms with air. Red berries, red roses and lovely savoury undertones. There is a nice balance between power and finesse. To taste it is fresh and easy to drink. Red fruits and berries, a little hint of bitter and a touch of salt. A little dusty spice. Super fine tannins, very dusty also. Sweet strawberry fruit, and the 'sucrosité' is also present, which adds to the texture. Medium minus acidity making for easy drinking, and then the tension on the finish completes it. Delicious! Serve chilled.
