Viognier, Chardonnay, Grenache Blanc and Muscat. From young vines in Sardan (Gard), grown on clay and limestone. The site is 150M above sea level. 7 days maceration for the Viognier, and direct press for the others. Aged for 8 months in Tinaja and Demi-Muid. Zero SO2.

Beautiful orange colour. Aromatic - cumquat spray, apricot, orange and flowers. Slightly briny and a little herbal note like rosemary. Perfumed, but restrained. Very fresh in the mouth – almost alpine freshness. Perfect fruit - clean, and then mandarin drop acidity. Slightly saline and has a tiny bitter/savoury finish which makes it more appealing than a brash fruit bomb. You also get that pithiness on the finish which gives nice grip. Plus limestone, and lots of tension from the phenolics – which are quite fine. Long and juicy, then drives home in a fine line. Medium acidity – mountain freshness. Mandarin lingers. Not super light, but not heavy either - just decent flavour in the mid palate, and very nice balance overall. So good.
