Jacquère (negocé) from Savoie. The plot is made up of clay-limestone terroir. The grapes are crushed then pressed in a vertical ratchet press, followed by 9 months of aging in use barriques. Not fined or filtered. Zero added SO2.
Flinty nose with a lick of lime on rocks and limestone minerality. Almost smokey. Very fresh in the mouth, and light but with reasonable weight. Lime, nectarines, kiwifruit and apples. Straight and direct delivery with good tension. Nice mouthfeel – has power but is refreshing and low alc at 10.5%. Acidity is medium plus and this is long in the mouth. Cool original alpine feel and great for summer!
