Savagnin from two lieux-dits: Petit Curoulet and La Chenaillotte. Age of the vines: 15 to 40 years, with north-west exposure. The soils here are all blue marl. Direct press, and then fermented and aged in a mix of sandstone amphora and foudre, which is topped up weekly. Not fined or filtered. Minimal SO2 added before bottling. 13.5% alc.
Beautiful clear nose, smells great. High toned notes of quince, light florals and macadamia. Mineral with apple, pineapple and cashew cream. Smells luscious. Tastes luscious! Sweet lemon, apple and yellow fruits. Soft and flavourful, textural. Hint of honey. Old school golden Jura vibes. Medium acidity, with flavours that linger forever. Decadent but gentle and charming.
