From old vines in Saint-Aubin. At 370M above sea level, this vineyard faces east and is secluded – in fact there are no other vineyards nearby, and chemicals have never been used here. The soil has a high limestone content. This wine is aged in used barrels for 10 months. Not fined or filtered. 0.5g/hl SO2 added before bottling. 11% alc.
Gentle aromas of elderflower, apples, limes and lemon blossom. Fresh and frosty vibes. Bright and energetic, with electric acidity. Lemon, lime and apples mingle on the palate. Zingy, zesty and fleshy. Lively mouthfeel, and a creaminess that builds with time. Super clean and pure, with laser sharp focus. One of the best Aligoté I have tasted in a while.
