A blend of Cinsault, Clairette Blanche and Rose. This is a collaboration magnum, made with David Teyssier from La Ferme du Cade. David farmed these grapes and the Souliers made the wine. The red and white grapes are fermented separately, and then blended. Short ageing in tank. Not fined or filtered. Zero SO2. A light and floral red with straight acidity - and at only 10.8%!
Vibrant, light red colour. Strawberries, raspberries, watermelon and pomegranate all waft from the glass. Little note of watermelon rind too. The 2020 had a reduction, but this doesn't - it is clean and fragrant. Light in the mouth and fresh. Stony and easy. Lovely acidity. Quite linear and very smashable. One magnum for two people type thing. Fine over two days - maybe more, but I couldn't keep it that long, too delicious!
