Regular price $55 750ml Sale

100% Negrette, from 25-year-old organic vines, grown on clay and silt. These grapes are sourced from Fronton, in South-West France. Short 6-day maceration, then pressed and left in old red Burgundian barrels for malo. Bottled in March 2017. Zero SO2.

Such an interesting perfume. Kind of meaty but with a musky potpourri undertone. Violets too. Ripe, but fresh, with black cherries and hints of smoker lollies. Very different to anything I’ve tried before - nice to try something so different! Very fine tannins that aren’t too strong. Dark berries and a touch of white pepper. Medium acidity, perfume notes hit the palate on the finish. Low in tannin and acidity, easy to drink, very smooth. Perfume really opened up on day 2. Very light and energetic, creates a good mood. 7 days later the nose is crazy. I have never smelt that before. Fresh, crunchy and mad juicy. Very fine chalky structure too.
