2019 AOP Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Beaune

Amazing nose, super expressive. Very clean, no reduction. Red and black cherries, fresh plums and roses. Beautiful sweet fruit. Young, but very good – no candy. Quite a deep and complex nose. Some deeper spice notes that are quite faint, but add complexity. To taste it has power and freshness. There are dark fruits, all sorts of exotic spice, and minerals. Great mouthfeel, very detailed. Tannins are spread out and tic tac around the mouth. Nice balance between dark power and fresh red fruits. Violets coming through on nose now. Perfume is very pretty. This opens up in the glass, but you can decant if you wish - the lighter notes come into play as it evolves with air. Great drinking now and will only improve. Stunning red Burgundy at an amazing price point.
