Brut Nature. 100% Meunier (blanc de noir) - Premier Cru fruit from Vrigny. Certified Organic. These vines were planted in 1971, and grow on chalky soils. From the 2020 harvest, the grapes were pressed directly, with fermentations (malo included) taking place in 6 year old barrels for 7 months. Without fining or filtering, the wine was then bottled, and aged on lees for 27 months before disgorgement in August 2023. Zero dosage, and no sulfites added at any stage. 12% alc.
Strong persistent bubbles. A little shortbread and almond meal, apple skin, sea breeze and fennel pollen. Hints of lime. Clean and fresh in the mouth, with sweet apple and lemon that runs to the sides of the palate. Very long, pure and beautiful expression of Meunier. Quite giving without being rich. Still has a gentleness to it, which flows with absolute ease. Really delicious and pure. Stunning!
