Very enticing colour of strawberry red. Again, much lighter than previous years, even more so than 2016. Instantly you are hit with an array of red berries, red roses, strawberry compote, granite and a touch of charcuterie. There is more depth here, but the wine is still very light and pretty. It's such a pleasure to smell these wines, they are really something. On the palate, the fruit is bright and fresh, showing more red berry characteristics. The texture of this feels slightly more dense, yet it is seamless in its delivery. All the elements seem more melded together. It is at once at the same time creamy and fresh, with ripe berry fruit, followed by mineral detail, and finally that beautiful mouthwatering acidity. You instantly need another sip. The acidity is gently tart, and the wine is long and complex. This is by far the most detailed of all three wines, but still made for easy drinking. The colour and perfume are alone enough. What a great wine! Serve slightly chilled, but not too cold.
