Aligoté from a western facing parcel at the top of the hill, 360M above sea level. Surrounded by forest, the soils here are predominantly clay. Only a smaller harvest this year, as they lost 30% to frosts and hail. Aged in used barrels for 10 months. Not fined or filtered. 0.5g/hl SO2 added before bottling. 11% alc.
Gentle flinty reduction. Apples, lemons and nectarines. Palate is fresh and long. Not as much acidity and drive as the Bourgogne Aligoté, this is a bit softer and more approachable. Beautiful palate weight with fresh sliced yellow apples, nectarines and white peach. Lemony acidity with a somewhat creamy texture. Bright, perky, fresh and beautiful to drink.
