Chardonnay from two vineyards. 50% purchased from an organic grower in Corpeau (downstream from Puligny-Montrachet). Here the soils are made up of clay and sand. And 50% from their own vineyards in the Chassey-le-Camp valley (next to Santenay). This vineyard is now certifed organic. Also made up of sandy clay soils. Aged in old burgundy barrels for one year, without lees stirring. Not fined or filtered. 20mg/L SO2 before bottling.

Light straw colour. Very dainty and floral, with hints of kaffir lime leaf. Fresh and lean, but with good mid-palate density. Melon, lemon, apple, unripe nectarine and peach. Linear, but still has reasonable depth for the vintage. Lots of drive and plenty of refreshing acidity. Leaner than 2020, which was borderline tropical. A breath of fresh air after the recent warmer vintages. Ideal with shellfish, seafood and summer salads.
