Regular price $80 750ml Sale

45-year-old vines bought and cultivated organically by Paul and Willy since 2017 on clay and limestone soils. The plot is in Chassey-le-Camp, just south of Santenay, near Roman ruins. Vinification commences in tapered wooden vats. Whole bunch maceration for 13 days, with light daily punching down. The wine is then aged in old barrels for one year. No fining or filtration. 20mg/L SO2 before bottling.

Nose of darker fruits and earth. Blackberries, black cherries and wild flowers. There is a pretty perfume under the depth of it all. A bit of spice in the background too. The palate is full and structured, with dark cherry and plum fruit, and a hint of cigar. The high toned acidity is very fresh, which and lifts and carries the wine. A great entry level Burgundy at an affordable price.
