2013 Silice en Bulles

Very dark in colour – almost orange, like an aged Radikon or Gravner. The bubbles are so tiny. Extremely complex nose! Roasted apricots, almonds, maple syrup, that salinity, peaches – very much like peach ice tea. Potentially a hint of boytritis again too. Again, it tastes like a tonic. Subtle and elegant, super dry, and quite different to anything you’ve ever tasted. Lots of dried apricots and that silica note on the palate. This is a wine for contemplation and study, rather than a party. A nice aperitif, but great with food too – nothing too heavy though. Complex and nerdy!
