Chardonnay from 30-50 year old vines from the Curoulet and la Platière lieu-dits, grown on rich gravel and marl. Aged in old demi-muids for 30 months. Topped up weekly. Not fined or filtered. Minimal SO2 added before bottling. 12.5% alc.
More yellow orchard fruits here. A little of that golden jura vibe, with honeyed muesli slice and freshly churned butter. Quite light and mineral on the palate, with yellow apples and stone fruits. Softer toned and subtle. Medium acidity, with wet rocks and light lemon finish. Flavours really linger, in a softer manner. Summery.
