Chardonnay from a plot facing south-southeast, between 280 and 400 metres above sea level. The vines are 40 years old, and the soils are a mix of marl, limestone and clay. Aged in used barrels for 18 months without lees stirring. Not fined or filtered.
Mix of flint and fresh butter, white nectarine and lime curd. Very mineral on the nose as it opens up. Tingling with energy and vitality, this is fresh, zesty and ultra bright in the mouth. Juicy with notes of cream and lime zest, and plenty of material that lingers. Well integrated acidity, with a zing factor and a long mineral finish. Superb.
