Chardonnay from three different lieux-dits: Petit Curoulet, les Corvées and la Platière. The soils vary, with gravel on marl, limestone and blue marl. Direct press to tank, then aged in used barrels for 18 months, topped up regularly. Not fined or filtered. Minimal SO2 before bottling. 12.5% alc.
Smells amazing. Floral with zesty lime and sea breeze. Short crust pastry and a little cinnamon and nutmeg hiding in the background. Juicy, fresh and bright in the mouth. Lovely and light but with plenty of flavour. Texture builds as it warms. Apples, limes and wet stones. Plenty of acidity and good tension on the finish. Pithy. Delicious and super fresh.
