Chardonnay from a 0.34ha plot in the Côte de Beaune. These vines are 20 years old, grown on soils with very high limestone content. Aged in used barrels (228L) for 12 months on fine lees, then left to settle in tank for 8 months. Not filtered. Minimal SO2.
Fresh and airy with aromas of spring blossoms, rockmelon, white peach and hints of croissant. Again, high acidity like the Aligoté. Pure bright fruits with precision and tension. More drive than texture this year. Nectarine, freshly sliced apples and lemon. Becomes quite juicy with air, still has incredible tension and a long, mouthwatering finish.
