Roughly 2/3 Chardonnay and 1/3 Savagnin, from the Petit Curoulet lieu-dit. The soils here are gravel on marl, and the site sits at 350M above sea level, with south-east exposure. The vines are aged between 20-60 years old. The wines are aged in a mix of 500L barrels and 2000L foudre for 18 months and topped up regularly. Not fined or filtered. Minimal SO2 added before bottling. 12.5% alc.
Bright and fragrant nose – typical Les Moulins. Freshly sliced apple and squeezed lime. Salty breeze and mineral imprint. So pure and wonderful to smell. Quite perky and zesty with lots of drive. Very fresh and uplifting. Higher acidity like all the 21’s. Mouth-watering with heaps of tension, grip and pithy sensation on the finish. Zesty, tangy and electric! Delicious!
