2020 VDF 'Brise d'Aunis'

Rather light in colour this year. Classic white pepper on the nose – very elegant and beautiful lifted scent. Wild strawberries and forest. This is super light and lifted, with an elegant and breezy perfume. Red delicious apple, raspberry and red cherry – the scents are immaculate. To drink it is supple and easy. Fresh with little wild berries and a gentle, savoury edge. Light tension, and then super fine tannins. Sweet fruit, balanced acidity. This is 100% glou glou, but clean and extremely well put together. At the lighter end of the spectrum of what Pineau d'Aunis is capable of. Fine boned, subtle detail and elegant to drink. It's a shame it's so limited! Serve chilled.
