100% Certified biodynamic Gewürztraminer. Semi-carbonic maceration for 15 days, then aged in 6 year old demi-muid for 8 months. Zero SO2.
Nice light orange colour, looks vibrant and not too dark. Very bright nose, so expressive and free. Lots of rose water and musk, smoker lollies, apricots and cumquat jam. Clean and linear on the palate. Super fresh and stony. His wines are so clean. Cooked apricots, phenolic grip, low acidity. Nice tautness, very dry, and linear drive, without much texture. Slight white pepper notes on finish too. Feels ever so slightly herbaceous, and this adds to the complexity. So much restraint on the palate. More of a restaurant wine. Very refined palate. Hints of honey. Nothing is sweet, just dry and pure. It’s like the essence of cooked apricots. Unique and delicious.
