Chardonnay from 25 year old vines in Chaux, a commune just to the west of Nuits-Saint-Georges. The vineyard faces east and is made up of clay and limestone soils. Aged for 11 months on lees in used barrels.
This is a leaner expression of Chardonnay, perfect for warmer weather, salads and seafood. Gentle aromatics of white stone fruits, fresh butter and oatmeal. The palate is crisp and stony with peach, nectarine and citrus notes. Bright and lean, with medium plus acidity. Tight frame and good tension to finish.
