These certified organic vines are mid-way up the hill in the 'Champs Pimont' climat, with a perfect balance between the clay base and the prominent limestone. 100% whole bunch maceration for 15 days. Aged in used barrels for one year. No fining or filtration. 20ppm SO2 before bottling.
Very strong perfume like the Volnay. Intoxicating to smell, it has a whirlpool of aromas that suck you in. Blackberries, dark cherries, cocoa dust, spice, and a dark mineral core. Charming. Later on intense blueberry notes come into play. Packed mid palate – but not tight and square – this is free and has loose edges, which is immensely pleasing. Has power, but with an array of perfumed and exhilarating flavours that make it so good. Great freshness and acidity for 2020 as well, this is a real stunner.
