Pinot Noir from 65 year old vines in an east facing vineyard, made up of clay and limestone soils. The Lieu-dit is called 'Aux Champs Chardons' and is on the eastern side of the appellation, close to Chorey-lès-Beaune and Aloxe-Corton. 20% whole bunch, 80% de-stemmed, macerated for 12 days. Then aged in barrels with an average age of 3 years, for 11 months before being racked to tank to settle. Not fined or filtered.
Savoury and direct, with a darker fruit profile. Has power but is lighter than the 22. Perfect with game.
