From a 1ha parcel of 55 year old vines grown on manganese-rich pink granite. Cold carbonic maceration for 21 days, then 50% aged in old barrels and 50% in concrete tank for 10 months. 10mg/L SO2 before bottling.
Quite a deep and earthy nose. Warm soil and roses dominate over fruit. To taste this has more power and depth than Les P'tits Bois - more mid palate weight, and seems more serious. Notes of spice on the back palate, and the excellent acidity that keeps in in balance. Blueberries, blackberries and dark cherries are the fruit. Supple, sturdy and more serious than the others. Great minerality and tension comes into play with some air. Drink now or age if you wish.
