Much lighter in colour this year. Wow, the perfume... bang! This is very aromatic right off the bat. So much red fruit, and red berries - it is intoxicating to smell! You can almost smell the sandy tannins too – what they’re going to be like. There are cherries and macerated strawberries, wild herbs, boysenberries, saucisson and a hint of black liquorice. All very subtle and less powerful than in previous years though. It’s so much lighter, but the depth is still there. Love it, very complete. Easy to drink, with wild berries, strawberry jam, chocolate, and baking spice. The texture is awesome. Pungent rock and berry nose. An easy going wine to drink without having to think to much - just sit back and enjoy! Serve slightly chilled, but not too cold.
