Gamay from 70 year old vines grown on clay and limestone. 10 days cold carbonic maceration, then aged in concrete tanks for 6 months. 10ppm SO2 before bottling.
Crimson red with light edges, it looks super appealing. On the nose there are berries and medicinal herbs, plus a nice light savoury edge. Lifted and floral, with roses and a touch of rosemary. Wild blackberries and bramble. To taste it is fresh and medium in weight, but then lifts around the edges. Young, but delicious already. Very easy to drink, with subtle tension in the back. Fine tannins round out the finish.
