60% Gamay from a granite based vineyard in Beaujolais, and 25% Pinot Noir, 15% Chardonnay Ð both from Chassey-le-Camp vineyards, with clay and limestone soils.
Strawberries and earth, a nice savouriness about it. Roses and chocolate too. Supple, fresh and almost crunchy to drink, red apple crispness, and a nice taughtness. Fine tannins, and underlying stony mineral notes. This could be classed as more of a session/drinking wine, than a food wine - lighter and easy, perfect for those hot days coming up. Fresh and delicious.
