Certified organic. From 80-100+year-old vines. Very low yields of 15hl/ha. Carbonic maceration for 9 days, then fermentation completed in concrete tanks. The wine is then aged in old barrels, and was bottled in July 2017. 10mg/L SO2 at bottling.
Deep spicy nose, with meat and berries. There are violets, and the wine is kind of wild in a way. Nice texture, fresh and clean. Delicious! Baking spice and lingering hints of licorice. You can tell the fruit is from old vines, but it is not too ripe. Hints of granite minerality linger about as well. Some nice tart/sour cherry and pomegranate notes, in amongst darker rock flavours. Gets chewy too. Very creamy and dreamy to drink. Such good Bojo - 16's are the ticket! Serve chilled.
