100% Gamay, sourced from Vaux en Beaujolais. Vines are 50 years old, grown on sandy pink granite. Fermentations and élevage in old barrels, bottled April 2018. zero SO2.
Deep dark, stemmy fruit – reminds me of Bruno Allion's Gamay a bit. Forest, earth and small dark berries. Has a power about it. Powerful ripe blackberries, herbs and earth, nice and clean. It has depth rather than just being glou glou. Nice tension, fine tannins, and a medium texture that states its power. Give this a slight chill, and a decant if you wish.
