2016 AOP Bourgogne

Man, the nose on this is really, really good. Beautiful and lifted perfume – roses and strawberries, touch of baking spice, cherries come into play after an hour or so, slight herbaceousness too. I really can’t express how good the nose is, especially for an entry level Bourgogne rouge. The palate is gentle, the tannins are very minimal and soft. It’s dreamy. The perfume! Nice line of minerality through the middle, this has really come together after months resting since it arrived. Quite long, it’s like the limestone is hiding underneath. Great value entry level Burg.
