From 30 year old vines, from a plot beside La Bruyère. The soils here are silty granite. 15 days cold carbonic maceration, then 50% aged in old barrels and 50% in concrete tank for 10 months. 10mg/L SO2 before bottling.
Crimson rose red. Clean nose of roses, spice and bay. Perfume lifts. In the mouth it is very bright, lifted and smooth. Wild boysenberry and blueberry interlaced with violets. Elegant and fine, perfect balance on all fronts. I love how these straddle the line between predictable and natural – very well made, and a great bridge between genres. Dark cherry fruit, loads of flavour. Linear delivery and medium acidity. So tasty and easy to drink.
