This is a Gamay rosé pét-nat. The vines are 20-40 years old, grown on clay and limestone. These grapes come from Raph’s brother in law. Long and slow direct press, then ferment begins in tank. Bottled and left on the lees for just over 4 months, before being disgorged. Zero SO2.
Excellent colour. Electric light red, super vibrant. Lovely fresh aromas of strawberry, blood orange and raspberry. A hint of raspberry leaf. Very clean and clear. On the palate the bubbles are super fine on entry. The flavours are delicate, and match the aromas. There is a tiny bitter note on the finish which adds extra detail. The acidity is medium plus, and overall the wine is straight and balanced in its delivery. Very fun and pleasing. Dry, with just a tiny touch of residual - the perfect style of pét-nat. Ultimately delicious and super easy to drink. With summer around the corner, this won't last long!
