Chardonnay from 30-50 year old vines from the Curoulet and la Platière lieu-dits, grown on rich gravel and marl. Aged in old demi-muids for 30 months. Topped up weekly. Not fined or filtered. 20mg/L SO2 before bottling.
Slight golden colour. Beautiful clean nose that is quite rich and full, with grilled peaches and nuts. A salty note also. Rich and full in the mouth, yet with very bright acidity. Textural, with a deeper set of flavours than Les Voisines. Very typical style of Jura. Grilled peach, apple and notes of honey – but that acidity keeps it so fresh. A little nutmeg on the finish. Hedonistic. The way the flavours keep changing throughout the long, long finish is insane.
