Chardonnay with grapes taken from multiple plots. Soils are gravel on marl, calcareous-rich marl, and blue marl. Aged on lees in an old 2000L foudre for 18 months, and topped up weekly.
Beautiful nose of white peaches, roasted almonds, a touch of nutmeg and a little sea breeze. To taste it’s very soft and smooth. Low-med acidity, yellow apples, nectarines and peaches, with a hint of lemon. The texture is very slippery without much tension, which makes for easy, no-fuss drinking. Extremely good balance, very bright, a beautiful wine. So many peaches! A very pleasant wine, perfect for Summer lunches.
