100% Chenin Blanc. During harvest, the team usually visits each parcel 2-3 times (sometimes up to 5 times) to pick grapes at different levels of maturity. For Fragile, they choose grapes from select parcels with younger vines. The grapes are sorted by hand back at the winery, where they select only the most golden grapes. Aged in used barrels for 12 months. 10ppm SO2 before bottling. Not fined or filtered.
This is a more lush and full expression, yet with clarity, bright fruit and plenty of acidity. Beautiful fresh nose of lime, orchard fruits, honey and spring blossoms. On the palate it has just the right amount of texture, creaminess and acidity. The balance is impeccable. Dry, pure, with sweet peach and nectarine flesh, fresh apples, melon and lime. Honey droplets and notable schist imprint on the finish. Very juicy, with length for days.
